MUMBAI: Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta, who tied the knot in 2008 after meeting on the sets of Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam, ended their 14-year marriage in 2022. The couple, who welcomed their daughter Meira in 2011, faced rumors of Indraneil’s alleged relationship with Bengali actress Ishaa Saha, which reportedly contributed to the rift.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Barkha opened up about her separation from Indraneil and the speculation surrounding his rumored affair. She revealed that it was Indraneil’s decision to end the marriage, expressing her wish that things could have been different. "If it were in my hands, I would still be married," she admitted.
Addressing the allegations of infidelity, Barkha stated, "Cheating and infidelity are choices, and what you do afterward is another choice." Despite being aware of his unfaithfulness, she admitted she tried to salvage the relationship for two years, saying, "I was always someone who said I would walk out if cheated on, but it’s easier said than done."
Barkha also recalled confronting Indraneil about the rumors of his affair with Ishaa Saha, only to find his response unsatisfactory. She concluded by stating, "He made his choice, and maybe he can justify it now, but his actions are his own to explain."
