MUMBAI: Popular television actor Abhinav Shukla has once again made headlines, but this time for a far more serious reason than his on-screen performances.
The actor, known for his calm demeanour and level-headed personality, has found himself embroiled in controversy following a disturbing incident involving alleged death threats from a self-proclaimed member of the notorious Bishnoi gang.
The threats emerged shortly after Shukla who lashed out at Asim Riaz, who had a heated altercation with Shukla’s wife, actress Rubina Dilaik. While the nature of the disagreement between Riaz and Dilaik raised eyebrows, it is the aftermath that has truly shaken fans and followers.

Taking to social media, Shukla shared a screen recording of a chilling message sent to him via Instagram. The sender, claiming to be associated with the Bishnoi gang, not only hurled profanities at both Shukla and Dilaik, but also issued serious threats of violence.
Disturbingly, the message warned that Shukla’s home would be targeted in a manner similar to the recent incident involving Salman Khan’s residence.
In response to the threats, Abhinav Shukla recently spoke out in an interview, breaking his silence on the matter. Known for his composed nature, the actor didn’t mince his words when it came to his family’s safety.
“I have immense patience and tolerance,” he said. “But if anyone tries to harm my family, I won’t hesitate to protect them even if it means taking a life. I’m capable of being dangerous, but I choose not to be. However, if it comes to defending my loved ones, I will act without a second thought.”
In a powerful declaration, he added, “If I have to kill a man to save my family, I’ll do it with my bare hands. I won’t stop to think, ‘What is happening?’ I’ll simply do what I must.”
The actor was also questioned about his relatively calm persona during his stint on Bigg Boss Season 14, to which he responded with characteristic grace. “Everyone on the show was under pressure to perform,” he explained. “I didn’t want to allow others’ comments or behaviour to affect me or my performance. That’s why I chose not to react impulsively.”
Shukla’s firm yet controlled response has garnered praise across social media, with many applauding his courage and his unwavering stance on protecting his family.
In a climate where online threats are increasingly common, the actor’s statement serves as both a personal warning and a public stand against intimidation.
