MUMBAI: Anupamaa fame Paras Kalnawat is now an eminent television face that's grabbing a lot of attention for his role of 'Samar Shah' since the show's commencement. 

However, the young actor is not a new face on the small-screen as he has already featured in many other TV shows. 

However, his current role on-screen is a poignant one (though not as the male protagonist) for it's direct and impactful connection with it's titular character - Anupamaa. The actor is also garnering a lot of popularity for sticking by the righteous principles of feminism on the show as well as his on-screen chemistry with co-star Anagha Bhonsle.

1. Paras Kalnawat was born in Nagpur to a business family on 9 November 1996. He is the youngest and most-pampered kid in the family.

2. He did his schooling and graduation from there itself and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He moved to Mumbai sometime later as he wanted to pursue acting.

4. Paras has also completed his acting diploma from the 'Barry John Acting School' in Mumbai. 

5. Paras entered into the showbiz world through modelling. In 2016, Paras had won the title of 'Mr. Multimedia' (most popular model of 2016) in the Elite Model Look 2016. He has also walked the ramps for eminent designers like Kunal Rawal, Monisha Jaisingh, Manish Malhotra and Narendra Kumar.

Next, he debuted on the small screen by appearing in TV commercials and print ads, post-which he started off with his television career in 2017, by bagging his debutant role of 'Sanjay Prince Ahlawat' in StarPlus' Meri Durga opposite Srishti Jain. However, the show went off-air in March 2018. Since then, he has featured in other shows like  Mariam Khan - Reporting Live; Aye Zindagi, Kaun Hai?; Laal Ishq; etc. His breakthrough role came in 2020 with Star Plus' soap Anupamaa's 'Samar Shah', who is being lauded by the audience for his progressive and revolutionary ideologies and for supporting his on-screen mother Anupamaa against all odds.

7. In 2019, Kalnawat also made his OTT debut by playing the roles of 'Shivam Noon' in ALT Balaji's Dil Hi Toh Hai 2 (also in season 3) and that of 'Faraz Sheikh' in the web series Ishq Aaj Kal.
