Speaking about his process and how he became a standup comic, Jaspreet Singh said, “My attraction to stand-up comedy entails two things – humour and conversations. These are the two things that we can do anytime. I love telling jokes and I love talking. As far as humour is concerned, I have always been a funny guy and I love when people laugh at what I say. This is something I have been doing ever since I was a kid. There is a notion that stand-up comics are generally the second funniest person in the group and they observe the funniest person to improve their skills. But I was the funniest in my group. At least I would like to believe that. It helped me to bring my personal stories on stage. I also realized that if you say something, it will have a deeper impact on the society, and saying such things in the garb of a joke, without getting preachy, that's a win-win for all.”
