MUMBAI: Punya Shlok Ahilyabai has just started and the audience is already in love with the drama.

The actor and the entire cast is fine and looks like the show has proven to be lucky to atleast a few of them including actor Rajesh Shringarpure's as his long awaited dream has finally come true.

The talented actor, who has always dreamt of owning a luxury car - a Mercedes-Benz, has finally bought one. Shringarpure, who has made his mark with his pivotal roles in films like Sarkar Raj and Murder 3 and is currently essaying the role of Malhar Rao Holkar in the TV show Punya Shlok Ahilyabai bought his dream car. His shoot location, which is a two-hour distance from his home, enables the actor to have his drivetime.

“I simply love driving. You can say it is my meditation time. I love driving to the sets and of course, spending my time out with my family in my car. In that sense, it is my second home of sorts,” says Rajesh Shringarpure.

The actor earlier owned a Honda Accord.

The actor is happy that his family is also loving the car, the way he does, "I’ve always dreamt of owning a Merc, and I am glad my family loves the car the same way I do," enthuses Shringarpure.

In an earlier interview, the actor asserts that showbiz is a competitive industry but the competition should be with oneself to do better. "It's a highly competitive environment we live in, but I strongly believe one has to be true to oneself and one's belief to succeed in life. The competition should be with oneself to do better. Being a part of shows like 'Punyashlok Ahilyabai' reaffirms my belief," said Rajesh.
