MUMBAI: TellyChakkar is back with the latest update about popular TV actress Delnaaz Irani. With a flourishing career in the film and TV industry, the actress has made a strong place for herself in the entertainment world.    

We have always seen Delnaaz playing light-hearted roles in her shows and movies. But this time, the actress has attempted to step out of her comfort zone and do something really different.  

Delnaaz is set to be seen in a cop avatar for the very first time. Named Hijack, an episodic of the show will feature her in the role of Surbhi Singh who is a cop.

In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Delnaaz disclosed about her experience of playing a cop and much more.  

Delnaaz said, "I started laughing when my friend offered me the role. However, I wanted to see myself playing such a strong character." 

The actress also said that she was inspired by Rani Mukerji which made her take up such a strong role.  

"I have watched Mardaani part 1 and 2 a couple of times and I loved the way Rani portrayed the character,” said Delnaaz.  

The actress then revealed that it was challenging for her to shoot in just one room but she gave her best. The entire episode was shot in just one day.  

This was Delnaaz's first shoot post pandemic. 

If you check out Delnaaz's look, it will definitely remind you of Rani from Mardaarni.  

The episode will air tonight at 8 PM!
