Eva Grover on her 'sudden exit' from Zee TV's Tashan-E-Ishq

Eva Grover
Eva Grover was 'class personified' as the majestic and evil-minded Anitha Luthra in Zee TV’s Tashan-E-Ishq (Esselvision Productions). Well, loyal viewers of the show would have gotten a shock on seeing that the actress was replaced by Anjali Mukhi in the power-packed role (as per yesterday’s telecast). Well, we too at Tellychakkar.com were in fact surprised about this development and got in touch with the seasoned performer. Sad, life can be at times, is what we learnt after this hearty conversation with Eva. Eva as she started the talk with us was happy that she was back to being hale and healthy, and could not have asked for much, given the health condition she was in few days back. She went on to explain her health problems to us, “I was in very bad shape, and have just recovered after undergoing a small surgery. I had developed a tumour on my back, in the last bone called the monkey bone. Also, I had a tumour behind my right ear which had to be removed. This was due to a certain nervous problem. And I found it tough to even walk around, leave alone report to shoot. After my hospitalization and surgery, I am now on road to recovery.” Eva who has not shot for the last 20-25 days for Tashan-E-Ishq told us, “Well, I was in a position where I needed maximum bed rest, and I could report only for a day in a week. However, my character was so important that I was required almost every day. And I understand that this would have made it tough for the production house to continue without me. Having said this, I was not even aware of Anitha Luthra being replaced. I got to know of it today morning when I started receiving calls from people around and from the channel. However, I was under the impression that my team will get back to me when they need me. I never realized I was already replaced.” Eva who is an optimist feels that whatever happened is for the good. “Today my family is happy that I am back home after all the problems I faced. I am happy and most importantly, feel healthy now. Work will keep happening; I have been in the industry for long now. But I will certainly miss playing Anitha Luthra as it was so powerful.” Talking about the sudden decision taken by the channel and production, Eva averred, “I do not blame them. As I said, they must have been in a soup, with me not being there. Yes, it would have been nice if they had told me about their decision. However, honestly speaking, it was great working with Zee TV, and the production house is one of the best ones that I have worked with.” When asked about her future plans, the actress said, “Yes, I am sure I will be back. I am already getting offers. But health is important, and I will want to take it easy till I regain all the strength to get into the grind again.” Eva, you will certainly be missed as Anitha Luthra!! Stay blessed...
