MUMBAI: Popular TV actor Ankit Raj is currently seen in Sony SAB's recently released show Dharm Yodha Gaurd. 

It's just been two days since the show has hit the small screens and it is working wonders. 

The show has a stellar star cast of Parul Chauhan, Faisal Khan, Angad Hasija, Toral Rasputra among others who are playing pivotal roles. 

Ankit is seen playing the role of Kaliya in the show. 

TellyChakkar got in touch with Ankit who spoke about the show and much more.

Tell us something about your character and what made you say yes to this role? 

I got to know about this character last year and I had given a look test for it. The role was very strong and evil to play. But I was very heavy at that time. I weighed 92 to 93 kgs. So, I thought I should lose at least 11 to 12 kgs for this role. When the makers considered me and when I did some research about Garud, I didn't have much knowledge about it. When I read about it, I realized that it's a History we need to tell people. The newness of this show made me say yes to this role. 

Did you face any challenges while shooting for this show? 

I have no difficulties as such while shooting, except for the 3 kg headgear that I am wearing. It is a very fun character to play. I get to do so many different things which I haven't done in my previous shows. I am very excited about it. 

So, how is your bond with your co-stars? 

Our bond is just amazing. We are enemies on-screen but we are very good friends off-screen. There are 5 of us who almost shoot every day with each other. All of us have a very good time on the set. 

Ankit has previously done shows like Main Bhi Ardhangini, Ishqbaaaz, Laado 2, Qubool Hai, Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai, among others. 

Garud has hit the small screens on 14th March.
