MUMBAI : Ayesha Singh is an actress and model known for appearing in the show Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost (2016), and the film Adrishya (2017).

She recently came into the limelight after essaying the role of Sai Joshi, in the Star Plus show 'Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Meiin.

She is loved for her character and performance. She has a huge fan following and the audience loves her.

The show is one of the top five, with the highest rating currently. It is doing exceptionally well and the plot has kept the audience hooked.

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with Ayesha Singh and got to know interesting insights about her journey on the show and her character.

How has the journey been for you on the show?

“It has been a roller coaster. From day 1 everyone was disappointed in wondering who I am till the present, where it's all good and they like me. I have evolved as an actor and as a person. I have learned so much being on set. The only thing that has not changed is the feeling inside that a kid has when he is in a toy factory. Otherwise, everything has only progressed and improved.”

What were your perceptions about Sai when you first heard about the character v/s now when the character has evolved so much?

“I had received the character briefs of both the characters, Sai and Pakhi. I was asked to audition for both. But I chose to audition for Sai because that is what I liked and it is not as if I did not want to pursue the other role. But this seemed interesting to play. Then after a long time when the show was about to go on the floor, they cast me at that time. I was not in Mumbai at the moment when I got the call. They called me up and said that I had been finalized. The rest is history.”

What made you say yes to the role of Sai?

“Sai as a character is very vibrant. The journey she has been through has matured her but then also she has a childlike innocence in her. Even if someone wrongs her, she is the kind of person who would forget about it for some time and give the person the benefit of the doubt. Yet she will make sure to keep her opinion forward. So she has the qualities of a very strong female and a vibrant attitude. I played it like that too. The bond she had with her father was also very beautiful and it attracted me more.
