MUMBAI: Zee TV show Ana Time Bhi Ayega is one of the most popular shows on television today. 

Gargi Patel, who has been a part of a plethora of shows and has had a beautiful journey on television and through this show, she is winning the hearts of the audience. In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.co, Gargi Patel opened up on her character, the thing she would like to change and her reaction when she bagged Apna Time Bhi Ayega.

Gargi shared, “I don’t think I want to change anything. She is so peace loving. So calm,so grateful, so elegant. I think that’s how a senior person should be. I look at my grandma. She is like that. And this is how exactly my character is.” We asked Gargi about her first reaction when she got to know that she has bagged Apna Time Bhi Ayega.

Getting candid with us, Gargi shared, “I don’t know there was no reaction honestly because I didn’t know what I was stepping into. I was doing TV after 2009. These were major TV projects I have taken up after the pandemic and all. So there was no reaction. But I was happy when I found out.”

What was your first salary and how did you earn it?

I started working when I was 50 and that’s when I entered the industry and I had earned a quite a good amount because in ad films we get paid very well  and that stage I only wanted to do ad films and then television and films and all started.

If not an actor what profession would you find yourself into?

Nothing else , I was a house wife and I have a family which I feel blessed and a lot of family support and when my kids grew up I thought of starting to work instead of getting bored.

How do you find yourself in acting?

I was a runner up in Miss India, a lots of years ago and friends wanted me to go in commercials but I never got down to doing that for family reasons , and my friends suggested and I didn’t do and I thought if I do I had to travel a lot which I didn’t wanted that time but ofcourse now I am travelling. 

Who is your best friend in the industry?

I got two very good friends , one is with Netflix and the other is from Panorama. 

You did not have any struggle period as such?

I did not have a goal to reach, and I am basically English speaking and I am not from industry and nobody that I know was in the industry and when I entered I did not know whom to approach and the first thing I was saying was to get the portfolio done, I did not know what the portfolio was and whom to get done with and as I went along the way I asked whom to approach and they guided me, a lot of people have contributed to who I am today.
