MUMBAI: Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a visual entertainer.

The show has a huge cast and every actor has something different to bring on the table which keeps the viewers hooked to the television screens. One such actor is Ali Hassan who is multi-faceted! Today, we get chatty in an exclusive conversation with him.

How has your association with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai been?

Well, the number of years speak for themselves! My association with Director’s Kut Productions and vice versa has been mutually beneficial and rewarding and the respect that I get from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and the DKP team is second to none. I have to mention the grandiose of my producer Mr. Rajan Shahi. I have not come across a more humble and inclusive producer as him, a person who loves to work with the team and for the team. The success of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is largely the accumulation of the intent and gratitude of all the people, cast and crew working in it lead by Mr. Rajan Shahi. I am extremely grateful and consider myself lucky to be a part of this historic show.

How has it been shooting with Shivangi Joshi, Mohsin Khan and the extended crew?

There could not have been better leads in a show than Mohsin and Shivangi. These two fit the bill right in. They are pleasant, unassuming, down to earth, have no qualms, are extremely energetic, very hardworking and extremely loved by all. I have a special connect with both as they hold a special place in my heart.

Closest person to you on the sets?

It may sound ominous but I love all the cast and crew. After working for 5+  years  together it has become a family, we laugh cry fight and work together , but most of all if we do not shoot for an extended time , we do miss each other a lot...

What is the x factor about your character which u enjoy playing?

The X factor of the character Akhilesh that I play is that he is the lovable Chachu who is there for his family in times of need. He will always try to see a balanced view and have a balanced opinion on the events in the house.
