MUMBAI: Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, a popular comedy show on &TV, is one of the most popular sitcoms on television.
For the past seven years, the show has been running on small screens with great popularity. Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain has its own fan following, which adds to its popularity among viewers. We've seen how the creators have skillfully crafted each and every character, each of whom is distinct in their own right. All of the characters, from Angoori Bhabhi to Vibhuti, have become highly popular among fans.
Rohitashv Gour plays Manmohan Tiwari on the 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai', and has been essaying the role for all Seven Years of the show, he is a well-known actor of the TV fraternity and has been seen in shows like Lapataganj where he played the role of Mukundilal Gupta which also went on become an iconic character, he has also played small but recognizable roles in Rajkumar Hirani's movies like, 'Munna Bhai MBBS', 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai 'and 'P.K'.
TellyChakkar spoke to Rohitashv Gour on the sets of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai's Seven-year Celebration:
The Show has been going strong for seven years now and in these seven years there have been many ups and downs, how that this journey been for you?
I believe that if a journey is difficult that is what makes it worthwhile, and then only it reaches its pinnacle, This Journey has been difficult sure because in the initial stages of the show when we were getting the highest TRPs is when when we went through a lot of shocks, first our Bhabhiji left the show but it was managed and the journey became smooth again when Shubhangi Ji entered the show, the second time we went through a wave of difficulty is when Soumya Ji left after 5 years of the show, but we got another addition as well. So, I feel like this show I blessed that it has completed seven years even after going through so much, and it is the love that fans shower us with that we keep going strong.
When you started on the show, did you ever think that 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain' will complete seven years?
Honestly, I never thought that show would be this well-received, I thought we would wrap up in 3 months because I was unsure how well the content will be received, would people ever misconstrue this as vulgar because the premise of the show is that a Neighbor is in love with his neighbor's wife and flirts with her and so many things that they can misunderstand But I was pleasantly surprised when the first TRPs of the show were revealed, we matched to Shah Rukh Khan's Reality show, so that was quite surprising.
Over the course of the show, you have achieved a massive fan following, has there been a fan encounter that is still memorable for you?
There is one that is still very emotional for me is when a fan from Delhi connected me with his mother through a Video call and she was in a hospital and she was watching the show and he said that he is filled with a lot of positivity and when I spoke to her, she was so surprised and she got so overwhelmed and emotional and the thing that I cant forget is how blessed I felt, that is one moment that will stay with me.
Tellychakkaar confirmed the news that Actress Vidisha Srivastava will be replacing Neha Pendse on the show. Vidisha is known for her roles in shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Meri Gudiya, Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram among others will essay the role of the infamous Anita Bhabhi.
