MUMBAI: Starplus' Imlie has been a show that stayed in the top position and has been maintaining its mark with its grappling storyline and intriguing characters. The show has Mayuri Deshmukh, Gashmeer Mahajan and Sumbul Touqueer in leads respectively.

People usually fall in love with a character played by their favourite star on-screen but very few actors leave their imprints in the reel characters that they play and make it stand out of the crowd. One such actor is Indraneel Bhattacharya. 

We got in touch with Indraneel and asked him about his character Dev, here's what he had to say about his character, " Dev is a character who has made a mistake but he is willing to rectify it. He is asking for a chance to rectify his mistake and not ignore it. I feel Dev is a misunderstood character as he has his own complexities and his willingness to accept and change is often misunderstood by his closest members."

"Dev fell in love with Meethi in the village and later he comes to know that Imlie is his biological daughter, although Malini supports him in opening up about his past, Imlie refrains to accept it. She rejects his efforts and emotions post learning the truth. But Dev wouldn't stop without trying, hence I call him a misunderstood character as his emotions are complex for his family members to understand" he quipped.
