MUMBAI: Yatin Karyekar has been seen in a host of television serials and Bollywood movies. His last stint was with ‘Saraswatichandra’ on Star Plus starring Jennifer Winget and Gautam Rode after which he took a sabbatical from daily soaps.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Yatin opened up on what prompted him to make a comeback to the small screens with ‘Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si’. He shared, “Daily soaps have its own rhythm and I was not comfortable with the style of working of my previous show. I have been friends with Rajan Shahi for 25 years now and when he told me about this show, I agreed. The style of working and functioning has changed I some respects if I were to make a generic statement but Rajan Shahi is one of the finest producers of the television industry. It is not only the actors but the entire team that is taken care ofand this is one of the strongest reasons why people want to be associated with Rajan Shahi. He makes sure to take good care of his team. He has a heart of gold. This is my sixth project with Director’s Kut Productions.”

Talking about the lead starcast of the show Mohit Malik and Sayli Salunkhe, Yatin shared, “Well, I have worked with both of them in the past. I shot for a pilot episode with Mohit while I have done Dagdi Chawl with Sayli Salunkhe and a Marathi webseries as well. Both Mohit and Sayli are extremely helpful to others. There is a lot of time constraint when it comes to shooting for daily soaps and the way both of them help the directors and the other crew is heartwarming!
