MUMBAI: The first two seasons of MTV Hustle were a massive success. In its third season, judged by Badshah and featuring squad bosses EPR, Dino James, Dee MC, and Ikka, MTV Hustle 3 continues to captivate the youth. 

Tellychakkar spoke with the squad bosses to discover their favourite moments from the show.

How has your journey been on MTV Hustle so far?

EPR: It's been incredible, starting as a contestant and now being a squad boss for two years technically 3 years. Witnessing young hip-hop talent win big on Indian television is a dream come true.

Who is your favourite contestant from other squad bosses?

Dino James: Bobby. Bobby is my favourite contestant because has got a natural way of vocal. I don’t even understand Punjabi that much but I connect with his music. His rage lands very smoothly on hip hop beats. It is very easy to say sometimes for singers to say it is easy to pull off but it is not. He just gives me goosebumps all the time. 

How do you start your day before the shoot?

Ikka: I wake up overjoyed, have breakfast, and come to work expecting to hear something good. I bring a lot of energy and follow my daily routine. There is nothing new, it's the same. 

What has been your favourite performance so far?

Dee MC: Personally, Ishaare by Uday stands out for me. Mrinal's initial songs, especially Amiri and the flavour Burrah brought in 'Bhai ki Baarat Mein,' have great lyricism but at the same time they have mass appeal.

What advice do you give to your squad before their performance?

Ikka: Do well, write better, work hard, respect the opportunity, and shine on the big stage.

EPR: Perform to express, not to impress!

Dee MC: I have been jamming with my artists before the episodes. I connect with my artists as humans, ensuring they are mentally okay before the performance.

Dino James: Be real on stage; don't perform with the expectation of creating radio hits.
