MUMBAI: Khyaati Keswani is one of the most popular actors on television today as she is immensely loved for her stint in Kumkum Bhagya as Pallavi.  We connected with Khyaati to know more about her experience shooting for the show among other things.

Take a look:

How is your experience been shooting for Kumkum Bhagya?

It is really been a very amazing experience for me and I do not think I have met such a friendly lot of actors, production team and it has been pure fun.

How have tables turned for you in terms of your career with this show?

I have got much more recognition. I have been a part of the show for two and a half years now and when you are a part one of the top three shows in the country, it is bound to. People recognize me whenever I go but it is more for my role in Kynkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Dil Se Dil Tak. But now, the recognition is coming only from Kumkum Bhagya and wherever I go, I am addressed as Pallavi.

How is your bond with Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha?

Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia are two of the most humble actors I have seen. When you are around them, you do not feel you are around stars. They are very chilled out people and they sit with you and have formed friendships over the years. Infact, I am a huge fan of them. Infact, when they are performing they are a treat to watch. The cherry on the cake is that they are such humble human beings.

Who is the closest person on the sets of the show?

I bond very well with Krishna. Krishna Kaul and I bring a lot of energy to the screens and even off the screens we are very good friends. When you are around Krishna you cannot be just still. He just lifts your mood up and that is the reason the mother – son chemistry comes out on screens. I am close with everyone but I am close to Krishna.

How is your character, Pallavi challenging?

My character has changed dramatically, from warm, loving and light hearted, she is now cold hearted and controlling. She has become the epicentre of her family’s dynamics and business affairs. It’s a quantum shift to the other end of the emotional spectrum.

Speaking about your character, how relatable are you to the role of Pallavi in real life?

The character before the transformation was very close to how I am in real life, with unconditional free flowing love for my children. But after the transformation the love hasn’t gone anywhere, she is just trying to keep a hard exterior. That isn’t like me in real life which makes it even more exciting to portray since I have to completely imagine her.
