MUMBAI: Nishant Malkani became immensely popular after he portrayed the role of Akshat Jindal in Zee TV's Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. The actor later participated in Bigg Boss 14. Nishant is now seen playing the lead in Dangal TV’s Rakshabandhan, and viewers love the show and his character.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Nishant and asked him about his aspirations as an actor.

“I aspire to keep doing better work. I'm open to all kind of opportunities in this industry. I want to be respected as an actor. When I made my comeback on TV, that was my aspiration.”

Do you want to focus on Bollywood?

“Bollywood isn't the only platform available now, because OTT is thriving. Amazing web shows are being produced, some of which are even better than a movie. Because of Raksha Bandhan  I'm not picking up a new project, but as soon as I get time, I'll focus on content-driven web shows.”

Are you happy with your Bigg Boss journey? Did the show help you in your career?

“Bigg Boss was my first reality show, so I could've done better if it that weren't the case. If I do another reality show, I won't think too much. I think after Bigg Boss, my audience and others got to know the real me. I got more work after participating in the show.”
