MUMBAI : Kartikey Malviya is seen in Star Bharat's show Radha Krishn.
The actor is playing a pivotal role of Samba in the show. Kartikey is known for his stellar performances in many mythological drama series.
He made his television debut with Zee TV's show India's Best Dramebaaz. The actor appeared in several episodes and was the season 2 runner-up.
Kartikey has earned a lot of fame in the television industry in a very short span of time.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor who spoke in length about his career and much more.

You have done many mythological shows so far. What is that one thing which attracts you to such roles?
As we all know that mythological shows are very difficult to portray. We have to wear very heavy costumes, there's a lot of makeup, and also wear a wig. It is extremely challenging because of all this. Such shows are quite different from performances point of view than the regular shows. The language, talking, walking and entire persona is very different. All this is very challenging and that's why I wanted to do such roles.
There is tough competition in the showbiz world. Do you feel any pressure to constantly keep yourself right there to survive?
Of course, there's a lot of pressure. No matter how big and famous you become. You always have the fear that what if some new talent takes over. And if you are a fresher, you are always in a dilemma on how to move forward. I face pressure every day as a lot of things are changing. But there's nothing one can do. If a person is destined for something, he will get it. My work is to just keep going and I am doing that.
If not an actor, what would have been?
If not an actor, I would have been an Airforce pilot. It was my dream to become a pilot and tried a lot but India's Best Dramebaaz happened and I didn't fit the age criteria. I think I was destined to become an actor and not a pilot.
