In spite of being famous in Australian TV and Films, you shifted to India to fulfill your dream in Bollywood and TV, how challenging was this decision for you?

It is very challenging. After Kaatelal & Sons, Uttaran, I think it is very challenging. It's not the same. I like these challenges to play different types of characters. There are definitely struggles. But it's all about how you do after those struggles. You grow and realize what matters to you and what does not. It was challenging and it still is. I am still working towards my dream. There are many things left for me to do.

If you get a chance to go back in time and change one thing, what would that be?

A mistake which I made. I left television completely after Uttaran. After Uttaran, I was offered pretty good shows. Everyone liked my character in Uttaran and it was a huge hit. I also got an award for it. I got many TV offers but I wanted to do films. I did two films but they were never released and I struggled with that. I think every experience is a learning mistake. So I think I would change that. I have grown from my mistakes and learned many things.

What do you think of the changing trends in television?

This show Dosti Anokhi is a changing trend in television. That is why I picked up this show. Change is the only constant thing we have. It is necessary to change according to the time. With the rise in OTT, the competition is so much. The story is the Hero of any show. If the story is good, no matter who is playing the role, people will like it. Change in time is good. One should grow out of it and change according to the time.

Well said, Sahil!
