MUMBAI: Indian Television has witnessed a lot of TV shows over the years which have been extremely popular among the fans. Even after these shows went off-air, fans still remember them and the iconic characters of the shows.

There are many shows where we have seen an unusual pairing of celebrities which sometimes have proved to be pretty successful. Well, sometimes when we look at the TV stars, we can't guess their age as they do a lot of hard work to maintain themselves to justify their roles.

There are many actresses who have been paired opposite TV actors who are quite older to them. However, one might think that such pairs don't work but there are many onscreen pairings that have worked wonders.

1. Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani

 The duo is seen in Imlie and their onscreen pairing has become a huge hit. While Sumbul is 17, Gashmeer is 36.

2. Priyal Mahajan and Amar Upadhyay

They are being loved as Virender and Purvi in Colors' Molkki. There's quite an age gap between the duo as Priyal is 19 while Amar is 44.

3. Gracy Goswami and Zaan Khan

Their on-screen jodi is one of the cutest. The Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye pair has an age gap with Garcy being 18 and Zaan being 26.

4. Ashnoor Kaur and Sourabh Raaj Jain

The Patiala Babes jodi is still remembered as Mineil by their fans. Ashnoor was 15 when she was shooting for the show and Sourabh was 34.

5. Reem Shaikh and Sehban Azim

The Tujhse Hai Raabta's jodi is a huge hit among the viewers. However, not many are aware that Reem is just 18 while Sehban is 35-years-old.

6. Tanya Sharma and Amar Upadhyay

The Saath Nibhana Saathiya jodi is fondly referred to as Dheera by their fans. While Tanya was barely 21 or 22, Amar was 41 at that time.

7. Avika Gor and Manish Raisinghan

The duo was paired in Colors' show Sasural Simar Ka and their jodi became quite popular among the fans. The age gap between Manish and Avika never reflected in their onscreen chemistry. Manish is 40 and Avika is 22.

8. Ronit Roy and Aasiya Kazi

The handsome hunk of television Ronit Roy romanced Aasiya Kazi in Ekta Kapoor's show Bandini. The show too showcased this age-gap thing between this onscreen couple. While Ronit is 54, Aasiya is 28.

9. Ram Kapoor and Prachi Desai

Ram and Prachi shared the screen in the show Kasamh Se years ago and the show was a huge hit among the fans. The age gap between Ram and Prachi is 15 years.

10. Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma

They won hearts as Abeer and Mishti in Star Plus' show Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke. But not many are aware that there's quite an age gap between these two stars. While Shaheer is 35, Rhea is 24.

11. Avinesh Rekhi and Rhea Sharma

The duo was seen in Star Plus' show Tu Suraj Main Saanjh Piyaji. Jiya and Avinesh's pairing did wonders for the show. However, there was a big age gap between Rhea and Avinesh. While Rhea is 24, Avinesh is 35.

12. Saumya Tandon and Aasif Sheikh

Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai star Saumya's jodi with Aasif in this show was quite popular among the fans. Well, not many are aware that Saumya is 35 while Aasif is 55.

13. Rohitashv Gour and Shubhangi Atre

Another popular couple on the small screen, this pair’s rib-tickling comedy and romance is the major highlight of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai. Shubhangi is quite younger than Rohitashv. While Shubhangi is 38, Mr Gour is 53.
