Noted film and TV actor Sanjeev Siddharth, last seen essaying the role of Yamraj in Star Plus’ Siya Ke Ram has bagged yet another plump role on TV.

He has been cast to play the mighty character of Amatya Rakshas, who would eventually go on to be the minister in the court of Chandragupta Maurya. Initially, Amatya will be seen as the General in the Nanda Kingdom and will groom Nandni in her childhood. 

Also, Amatya will have a conflict of ideologies going with Chanakya.

Sanjeev has a vast body of work in Bollywood, with about 80 movies to his credit. Some of his noteworthy films included Hu Tu Tu, Jodi No. 1, Mission Kashmir, Mela, Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar. On TV, he was last seen in Life OK’s Baazigar which wrapped up recently.
