MUMBAI: Gauahar Khan has run herself into quite a bit of trouble. On Monday, an FIR was filed against her for flouting COVID-19 rules after testing positive. The actress has now retorted to the claims by sharing in her Instagram story that 'The Truth Shall Always Prevail'. According to reports, Gauahar has been moved to isolation quarantine.
Now, a BMC official has told us that Gauahar shouldn't have moved out of her house if and when she got her report as negative. "So what if she has a report dated March 12 that says 'negative'? It is strongly recommended that the infected person needs to isolate himself for the next 14 days from the day he/she tests positive. Therefore, if Gauahar's report was first positive on March 11, she should have shut herself up separately till March 24. But she didn't do that, and that's where her offence lies."

So now? The BMC official says that Gauahar will have to stay in isolation quarantine till March 24 at least and there are no two ways about it. "On the 13th or 14th day, she will be made to undergo a RT-PCR test and only if that is negative, she can walk out free."
Adds the BMC official, "Why don't people seem to understand the basics needed? The government is shouting hoarse but so many people are still not wearing masks. As for Gauahar, she might have been taken by surprise when the BMC checked to find out if she's at home- but that's a normal procedure."
Meanwhile, the police has not closed Gauahar's case. The BMC had filed an FIR against Gauahar. DCP S Chaitanya said, "We are investigating the case." The police have registered a case against the actor under IPC Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and under 51B of the NDMA Act 3 of Epidemic Diseases Act.
Of course, Gauahar and her family are going to try that she's out before March 24- but as things stand at this moment, a release of that kind seems unlikely.
