Life OK finally gears up for the much-talked about thriller Rakshak which is about the very simple man, essayed by Rajesh Shringarpure who turns out to be the saviour for people who can never imagine to seek justice. He reaches places where the evil power dominates and fights his own battle to destroy evil. The show which was to launch sometime in 2012 was pushed to the backseat owing to its dark concept, especially for the manner in which the ‘Rakshak’ brutally kills the bad men. The show now sees light and will be aired in May 2013, every Saturday and Sunday. The show will go on for 12 episodes, and if the response is good enough, it will come back with a Season Two later on. Talking about the concept and its uniqueness, Amitabh Raina, Project Head of Rakshak says, “Rakshak will be seen for 12 episodes starting in May. The manner in which we have shot the sequences is something one of its kind. This is the first time something like this will be aired on Indian television.” He adds further, “We have this guy who has complete faith and trust in the judiciary system of India. While all is a bed of roses, his daughter witnesses a murder and this is when he urges his daughter to support the law and help the police in identifying the culprit. However, fate has different plans when he sees the cruel picture of his daughter being killed by the same culprits right before his eyes. The man is shattered and when the same culprits try to molest another young girl, he is remembered of the cruelty that his daughter faced, and decides to kill them. However, the man always goes into a loop and thinks whether whatever he is doing is right or wrong. Rakshak reaches the right place at the right time, and brutally murders people who can never be victimised as criminals owing to their power, reach and popularity.” Get ready for this fierce and intense struggle of the ‘Rakshak’ for justice..
