MUMBAI: Erica Fernandes has become a household name with her ongoing show Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actress plays the role of Prerna Sharma and has won appreciations for her brilliant performance. 

The pretty lady made her small screen debut with Sony TV's show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. Erica was paired opposite Shaheer Sheikh and their onscreen pairing became a huge hit among the viewers.

We saw her in portraying a daughter, a wife and a mother's role in the show Kuch rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. But there was a time when the actress hated her role and was quite unhappy. The 23-year-old actress revealed how she took the risk of essaying such a role so early in her career and how uncomfortable she is to play a mommy onscreen.

Erica had revealed, "On-screen I didn’t want to become a mother so soon. So after the leap, I was not at all convinced about playing one, that too in my first TV show. The news came to me as a shock. But I thought of giving it a try. To tell the truth, I am still not really convinced about playing a mother. I am taking time to get into my character.” 

Erica took the risk of playing a mother on the small screen and it did well for her and also the show.
