MUMBAI: Himani Shivpuri is a veteran actress in the entertainment business. She has been part of Bollywood movies like Hero No. 1, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Biwi No 1 etc.

She has also been part of many television series like Doli Armaano Ki, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi, Ghar Ek Sapna, and Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah.

Currently, she is seen in the serial Happu Ki Ultan Pultan, where she is essaying the character of Katori.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Himani and asked her why she singed the show, to which the actress said that she loved the script and the character. It was written so well, and she hadn’t played such a role before. She was comfortable with the production house too.

We asked her if she sees any similarities in her reel and real life, to which the actress said that there is zero similarity between her character and her real life as she cannot so strict with her son the way Katori is with her kids.

We also asked about her experience in working in movies like Hero No. 1 and DDLJ to which the actress revealed that she initially had rejected the movie Hero No. 1, as the dates were clashing between her son’s college event and she didn’t want to miss that, but luckily, the schedule got pushed and she could do the movie.

She remembers that her son had also accompanied her for the shoot, and he uses to interact with Kader Khan a lot and ask a lot of questions.

Himani also said that owing to this trait of her son of asking to many questions, ace director David Dhawan had written the character of Anil Kapoor's son.

On her experience with working in DDLJ, the veteran actress said that she is overwhelmed to have been a part of such a cult movie and the famous scene with SRK is still talked about. She had a lot of fun while shooting the movie as Kajol entertained everyone on set and makes the environment such a good place to work.
