Shweta’s character will die in the show and the makers will introduce a new character played by actress Sayantani Ghosh.

TellyChakkar reached out to Shweta who confirmed the development and shared, “Yes, I will soon wrap-up my shoot with Tera Yaar Hoon. I was well-informed about the decision and I appreciate that. The makers plan to bring this new twist to up the rating game and also gain audiences’ sympathy. The biggest change which will gain more eyeballs is when Jhanvi’s character ends as she is the most loved character from the show. If my character’s exit can help the show garner ratings then I am more than happy.”

Did the news of your exit come as a shock to you? “Not, not at all. In fact, makers were hesitant to tell me but I understand that anything can happen on television as in the end it's all about ratings. But I will miss my cast and shooting with them. The day this news broke out every single person on the sets cried. We all share a great bond and love each other like a family. Tera Yaar Hoon Main is one of the shows which is close to me as for the first time I played a mother on-screen.”
