I believe in Karma and not in God: Jaswir Kaur

Jaswir Kaur

The tall and sexy Jaswir Kaur is making her comeback to fiction with SAB TV’s new drama, Krishan Kanhaiya produced by Garima Productions.

At a press meet of the show, Jaswir spoke about the show, role, her belief in God and more…

She said, “I am playing Nikhil Ratnaparkhi’s wife who is very spiritual and a devotee of God Krishna. In spite of being very talkative I keep saying jaldi bolo mere pass time nahi hai… The best part is that the show will have a new storyline for every episode; so there is always a fun element and excitement for the viewers.”

Why did you choose to be part of this project? “After doing bold roles and a challenging one in CID, people were approaching me to play only negative characters. Hence I waited to get something good and finally my wait is over.”

Are you religious in real life? “Not at all. I believe in karma and not in God. I think spreading smiles is what matters, rather than praying to God and then back stabbing a person.”

How much do you relate to your character? “I think what you play, you become the same in real life. Earlier when I used to play negative-shaded roles I felt like a bitch; but here I am playing a Godly role, so I am very pleasant and smiling.”

Jaswir has got inspired by various great attributes, coming from her colleagues and contemporaries in the industry. Naming them, she averred, “I have learned to be patient from Sudha Chandran. She has taught me to be calm and never say ‘no’ attitude. I have never seen her cribbing or giving a tough time to makers. Being focused at work, I learned from Rohini Hattangadi and Ashwini Kalsekar.”

All the best Jaswir!!!
