I can be a great source of controversy in Bigg Boss - Gautam Gulati

Gautam Gulati
Aspirants usually tend to face a period of struggle while establishing themselves as actors. While some fail, some make it big in the television industry and later join the brigade of Bollywood aspirators. But unlike the set of contemporary television actors, Gautam Gulati has set himself for a bigger innings. Seen in shows produced by Balaji Telefilms for a period of 4 years, Gautam is a much loved household character as Vikram in Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt. Ltd). Said Gautam, "I have been associated with DABH from the past 3 years and since the production house is very liberal, I went on to exhibit my skills on an international platform with Coward which also screened at the Cannes Film Festival. I never knew that the initial stages of my career would take me to such great heights. I still hold the moment close to my heart when the likes of John Travolta sat right next to me at their humble best watching my short film." Having done a short film and a super-hit Sri Lankan film, titled Siddhartha - The Buddha, we wonder what made the actor stay put to television and not take the plunge into Bollywood? He averred, "I am doing television shows to make a good profile in Bollywood. I am really looking forward to making a Bollywood debut but not until I get a script which will benefit me and my career. Whatever be the situation, I will never leave television, as it not only keeps the cash flowing but also is a platform where one can learn a lot. Moreover, I am a workaholic and like brushing my skills regularly." Gautam also mentioned how he would love to take up a reality based show or some fictional character where his personality would come across in a very realistic way. “When I meet the fans of Vikram Rathi, they do not acknowledge me as him as I look very different in person when compared to my fictional character. If given an opportunity I would definitely take up a role where I am more recognised and I would love to play a cop someday. Amongst the reality shows, I really hope I can be a part of Bigg Boss as I think I am blunt and can give much in terms of content. I am sure I will never be a part of the controversy but the topic of controversy for sure." Gautam also revealed that he not just an actor but he is also a good swimmer, dancer and football player. He is certain that if not for acting, he would have definitely made a good football or cricket player. Way to go Gautam!
