I have a habit of talking to myself: Ishita 'Shastri Sisters' Ganguly

Ishita Ganguly
Colors has completed six glorious years today and on this special occasion the channel is all set to launch its upcoming fiction show Shastri Sisters tonight. The show is about the lives of four sisters who make their journey from Kanpur to Delhi. The project is produced Shakuntalam Telefilms. At the press meet of the show we got in touch with Bengali girl Ishita Ganguly, who is playing second eldest daughter of the Shastri family. Elaborating on her character, Ishita shared, “I am playing the second daughter Anushka. I keep the bond between the sisters alive in the family. Anushka is a mother figure but it’s not that she boring but very emotional, caring and star of the family. She is a responsible girl and close to her father.” This was about your character but how are you in real life? “I am a very happy go lucky girl but also very emotional. Ishita and Anushka are very similar but the only difference is I don’t wear salwar kameez all the time (laughs). I have a liking for listening to music, dancing, chilling with friends and also have a habit of talking to myself. I enjoy my own company.” How did you bag this show? “The casting people saw my profile on Facebook and approached me. Then after the audition and look test process I finally got through. But it’s not that I will face the camera for the first time. Before this show I have done three Bengali serials and a movie. This will be my first Hindi show.” All the best girl!
