“I locked myself in a room for days and was immersed in negative thoughts.”- Achherr Bhaardwaj

MUMBAI: Mental problems can prove to be fatal if not timely treated. Every individual faces downfall in their life, but it can be overcome with sheer determination and with the support of loved ones. Achherr Bhardwaj who is currently seen playing the role of Lakhan Kothari in Dangal Tv’s Aye Mere Humsafar was also gone through some rough patch in his life.

Achherr suffered depression two years ago and while talking about it he said, “I got hold of a big film as a lead. I rehearsed for three months and gave my whole heart to it. But one day I was informed that I was replaced by a star kid. It took me two months to get out of this and the whole episode left me depressed. I started questioning my credibility as an actor and was constantly surrounded with self-depreciating emotions. I locked myself in a room for days and was immersed in negative thoughts. I watched TV for hours just to keep my mind busy”

Further talking about how he overcame his depression he said, “I used to set an alarm every half an hour to talk to myself about my strengths. I told myself you are a good actor. Healthy eating became my tool. The day I started eating right I started feeling good. Also my parents were my constant support. My dad checked on me every day. It is very important to talk to your parents, trust me, it helps”

Achherr’s determination to get back to showbiz and to prove his worth gets him going. Well this attitude will take him to great heights.
