I prefer to remain quiet, but that doesn't mean I am rude: Aham Sharma

Aham Sharma

Aham Sharma is back on TV with yet another power-packed character. The dashing actor, who was last seen as Karna in Mahabharat, will be playing Arjun in Star Plus’ Manmarziyan (Swastik Productions).

The character promises to pack quite a punch, and Aham got candid with Tellychakkar.com and spoke at length about Mahabharat, Manmarziyan, his life and a lot more. Take a look:

“The key reason for me to take up this role was that it was so different from Karna. I have been appreciated and loved for it, but it was time to explore something new. I am really excited to play this multi-shaded character, which will bring out many emotions on screen,” he said.

He added, “Arjun is mysterious, unpredictable and a very exciting and interesting person. He is in the story with a mission, a motive, which of course I won’t be able to reveal now. But all I can say is that it would really surprise people!"

From Karna to Arjun...looks like his connection with Mahabharat is not over! “Not really! My only focus remains on the character and the show. What’s in a name?" he asked.

When asked about his shy nature, Aham said, “I am a simple, shy and introvert person who has no clue how to keep a conversation alive. I am usually quiet which sometimes is considered 'rude’. But I don’t like indulging in small talks rather believe in my work making all the impact.”

The actor has also been a part of films, but feels that TV helps artists reach maximum people. “We work so hard in our projects and if it sinks silently, it’s all a waste. TV helps us reach every nook and corner of the world. I think I cannot have asked for more with the kind of work that I am being offered. Finally, my perseverance and hard work is showing its result,” smiled the actor.

With his co-stars from Mahabhatat making it big in the world of reality shows, we wondered why he is keeping a low profile. Aham revealed, “To tell you honestly, if there is a talent-based reality show, I would readily agree to do it. Be it singing, dancing or adventure, but to put my personal life out there for public viewing is not my cup of tea.”

Point taken, Aham.
