I want to make my brother proud with my acting abilities - Khushbu Paswan

Khushbu Paswan

Actress Khushbu Paswan might just be doing her second show on television with Zee TV’s Service Wali Bahu, but she already has immense confidence and guidance that will make her big as an actor!!

Khusbhu was first seen in Star Plus’ Ek Ghar Banaunga, in a cameo role that played on for a month or so. She played the role of Vidya, who was a simple village woman who participated in the competition thrown for ladies at the ashram, in order to do something new in her life.

Now, she portrays the role of Alka, who is married to the brother of the female protagonist, Kratika Sengar. Alka comes across as a simple, confident, friendly and ambitious woman who would always think about her family in a supportive sense.

Well, not many would know that she happens to be the younger sister of noted writer turned Producer Raakesh Paswan.

Calling her brother as her biggest support system and mentor, Khushbu avers, “Yes, I am glad to be getting all the support from my brother. I want to make him proud one day with my acting abilities. Yes, I come from a good industry background, but I need to prove my mettle to go ahead now. Above all, the manner in which my brother goes about keeping his professional and personal life separate touches my heart. You can ask anyone on the set of Service Wali Bahu, he treats me as professionally as he treats other actors on the show. That has been my biggest learning so far. I am happy that he has gained lot of fame in the industry. And I will want to work hard towards my goal now.”

Khushbu has so far worked only under her brother Raakesh Paswan’s banner, Village Boy Productions in her shows, Ek Ghar Banaunga and Service Wali Bahu. Ask her about it and she says, “Yes, I have not worked outside till now. Guess I wanted to gain all the experience working under him. I am now ready for the bigger challenge. Hopefully, my next project will be outside Village Boy.”

On the kind of roles that she will want to do, the girl states, “I don’t want to typecast myself by claiming that I am good in only few genres of work. I will want to pick up a role, where I suit the character well. It can either be a comic role or a serious one, or even a vamp.”

Wish you all the best, Khushbu!!
