MUMBAI: Anupamaa is currently one of the most popular shows. It has been entertaining the audience with its intriguing narrative. The cast members are leaving no stone unturned to entertain the viewers.

Recently, veteran actor-politician Mithun Chakraborty paid a visit on the sets of 'Anupamaa' which has his daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma in a pivotal role.

Did you know Mithun Chakraborty has worked with the leading actor Rupali Ganguly back in the 90s? Yes, both of them starred in a film titled 'Angaara' which released in 1996. The movie was directed by her father and late filmmaker Anil Ganguly and saw Mithun and Rupali as onscreen lovers.

Earlier during an interaction with The Times of India, Rupali had recalled her meet with Mithun on the sets of 'Dance India Dance'. She had said, "Then he went on record to say that ‘had this girl been serious about her career, she would have been one of the topmost actresses’ today.’ Even his saying that was enough." When Rupali Ganguly visited the sets of 'Dance India' Super Moms edition to cheer her mother, who was a contestant, she spoke about sharing screen space with Mithun Chakraborty. The Anupamaa actor also revealed that her father Anil Ganguly and Mithun used to call her 'duffer'.

Coming back to the TV show Anupamaa, Rupali Ganguly and Madalsa Sharma are working together which is interesting as the latter is Mithun Chakraborty's daughter-in-law.
