Songstress Jaspinder Narula is back in town after her USA trip. But the lady is aghast with the rumours that did the rounds when she was away. A month ago a daily reported that Jaspinder was having problems with her husband and that they were on the brink of a separation. A visibly upset and very angry Jaspinder spoke exclusively to Tellychakkar with her side of the story. “I am very upset with the reports and I am planning to take action against the publication that filed such a stupid rumour. I was not in the country for a few weeks and I started getting countless calls from family and friends asking me about my married life. The reports claimed that I was separating from my husband as we couldn’t have children and my husband was being blamed for the same. I was aghast. They even called him impotent, which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Nobody has the right to report on my personal life. How can you talk about my personal life?” The news according to Jaspinder appeared on 16 May when the singer was in fact to celebrate her eighth marriage anniversary. But the news she says put a dampener on the celebrations. Jaspinder continues, “I was eagerly waiting for my 8th anniversary on 18 May and the news appeared just two days prior to it. I am absolutely appalled to see the way media functions. They didn’t even consult me before filing the report. They kept harassing my mother and father to scoop out masala to sensationalise their write-ups. My father is 83 years old and certain reporters didn’t even mind calling him up umpteen times and trying to arm-twist him to find out if there is indeed any truth to such reports. They didn’t even fear about the consequence such reports could have had on my father.” “There always are some issues between a man and his wife and they sort it out amongst themselves. I too can have some issues like any other normal wife which we can work upon but this doesn’t mean that I am separating from my husband. Nobody has the right to talk about my personal life and in fact this is immoral,” chides the singer. Incidentally, the reports had also affected her husband. Jaspinder’s husband resides in Canada and is media-shy. He has always supported his wife in all her endeavours. “The news has affected my husband and he is upset with the rumours. We are just trying to console each other. Thankfully he is always there to support me and I am lucky to have him by my side during all my hardships. Now whether I fight or love my husband, it’s entirely in my personal domain and I would not like anyone to infringe that. I insist that all the rumours about my separation with my husband are false and we are still a couple,” concludes the singer. We wish the singer many more years of happiness with her husband.
