Jayshree Soni of Niyati fame is all set for an image makeover. This so called good traditional small screen bahu has recently done a photo shoot which presents her in a modern avatar. “My fans would always request me that they wanted to see me doing something else rather than just be a good daughter or a wife,” shared the actress. However the above classy pictures indicate that Jasyhree does not believe in skin show. “I will not strip… period. This new photo shoot is just an attempt to look different. I wish to depict that you can look pretty on TV in an western attire (jeans and top) as well, you don’t need to be covered in a nine yard wonder all the time (sari).” “Luckily in TV of late, women are also appearing glamorous (Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Housewife Hai...Sab Jaanti Hai etc ). We don’t have to be very traditional like my previous shows. I want to try other fiction formats apart from the tried and tested dailies which I have been already doing since the past five years.” Looking ahead, she wants to do different stuff both in TV and films. But in films you do need to shed your clothes to get noticed? “I will never adorn a bikini for that is against my culture. Even this photo shoot is something what my parents have approved of. I am not only looking at lead roles in films even meaty character artist roles (eg Swara Bhaskar in Raanjhanaa) would be more then welcome.” Besides fiction, Jayshree also would not mind dabbling in dance based reality shows. “I am a good dancer and would love to take part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye respectively, if given a chance.” In closing Jayshree admits that she is really looking for something challenging and path breaking.
