The New Year seems to be throwing a lot of surprises at us... Yes, surprises in the form of experienced faces from the industry donning the hat of producers to work on unique and interesting concepts for television...

Few days back, we wrote about Director Sidharth Sengupta and Jyoti Sagar, grandson of Ramanand Sagar, a Producer himself joining hands to form the company Edgestorm Productions.

We now hear of two more thick friends and associates earlier, Alind Srivastava and Nissar Parvez joining hands as partners now!!

While Alind has been the creative brain behind many mythological shows on TV, Nissar, the ace director was earlier one of the partners with Gul and Gorky’s 4 Lions Films (Geet.. Hui Sabse Parayi, Humse Hai Life, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Suvreen Guggal).

Alind and Nissar who have earlier worked together for the popular and hit show Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year for Channel V have now joined hands to form the company, Peninsula Pictures.

Yes, you heard it right!! And the talented people are already working on two new concepts is what we hear.

As per a reliable source, “Peninsula Pictures has been sanctioned a show on Zee TV and another on & TV.  While the show on Zee TV will be a family drama with a Bengali backdrop, with a slice of thrill and mystery to it, the show on & TV will be an episodic series dealing with various issues. Work is presently on for both the shows.”

We tried calling Producers Alind and Nissar, but could not get through to them.
