Kamalika Guha Thakurta and Shritama Mukherjee
Lost Boy and BBC Worldwide Productions are being lauded by the audiences for their heart touching love stories in Disney Bindaas’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Hence, to live up to the demands of the audiences and the expectations of the channel, the producers are coming up with a love story based on the Bengali film Charulata. We at Tellychakkar.com reported about the same yesterday (30 October 2013) where we wrote about Pooja Gor, Sehban Azmi and Sahil Acharya being a part of the episodic. The latest info that we have is that Kamalika Guha Thakurta of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi fame and Shritama Mukherjee, who was last seen in Best Friends Forever, will now join the rest of the cast. While Kamalika will be seen as the mother-in-law of Pooja Gor’s character Paakhi, Shritama will essay the role Paakhi’s sister-in-law. When we contacted Kamalika, she confirmed and said, “The show’s casting director Vishal Gupta is a good friend. Hence, there was no way I could have denied the role.” Also confirming her entry, Shritama said, “This is my first episodic ever and I am doing it for my friend and the show’s producer Vikas Gupta. It is a beautiful story and luckily for me, I get to play myself.” The episode will air sometime next week!!!
