Saibaba Telefilms’ first fiction show on Sahara One, Ghar Aaja Pardesi Tera Des Bulaye, is all set to go on floors pretty soon. Recently, there were reports in the media that Mahesh Thakur of Sasural Genda Phool on Star Plus has been finalised to play the father’s role in the soap. However, the latest news that Tellychakkar.com has gathered is that it is not Mahesh Thakur but Kanwaljit Singh who will be seen playing the father’s role. Kanwaljit was earlier seen in Sabki Laadli Bebo on Star Plus.
As reported earlier, the show is a journey of two sisters who get separated in their childhood and grow up in two different countries, embracing diverse lifestyles. The show already has a bunch of talented actors namely Sarita Joshi, Vikhram Gokhale and Smita Jaykar. Kanwaljit – who has showed his acting prowess in many Bollywood films and has also featured in television shows like Saans, Andaz, Sabki Laadli Bebo, amongst others – will add extra flavour to the serial.
When contacted Kanwaljit Singh, he said, “Yes, I have been approached for the role and I quite like the script. But I can’t comment anything more as things are in the process of being finalized.”
