MUMBAI: It’s a difficult time for the makers of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. Ever since the show has resumed the shoot after four long months of lockdown due to Coronavirus, the show has been in news for various reasons. Almost after two weeks of resuming the shoot, Parth Samthaan tested positive along with two of the show's staff members. After recovering from COVID-19 Parth resumed work and put down his papers immediately telling his producer Ekta Kapoor that he wants to opt-out. Parth resigned the same week he returned after COVID-19 recovery.

Well, ever since Parth Samthaan has decided to step down, Ekta Kapoor began to hunt for new Anurag Basu. As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Ekta has apparently approached Zain Imam, Vijayendra Kumeria and Barun Sobti. She’s also in talks with Vishal Aditya Singh, Harshad Chopda and Aashim Gulati to replace him. Well, the same report also states that Ekta Kapoor may shut the show if she doesn’t find any worthy replacement of Parth. 

A source close to the development revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “Parth has found a huge following and Anurag is an iconic character. Ekta is clear that if he doesn’t stay and she can’t find a worthy replacement, she will end the show.”
