MUMBAI: &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’s very own Katori Amma (Himani Shivpuri) has updated herself to a new version, something that the Singh family and viewers have never seen before. Smartphone ka bhoot sawar aur Amma ka drama shuru. In a time when everyone is obsessed and glued to their gadgets, Amma demands a brand-new smartphone too. Meanwhile, Rajesh Singh (Kamna Pathak) who is tired of doing the laundry asks Happu Singh (Yogesh Tripathi) for a washing machine. As usual, Happu is stuck between the wants and needs of his wife and mother, ultimately Amma gets her phone and Rajesh is furious. With her costly new phone, Amma is thrilled and dresses up in a completely different modern outfit just like her college days and, is set to fill up her camera roll. After learning the tricks of her gadget, from video-calling to use to social media apps, Amma is always online and a nuisance to the whole Singh family. She tracks down Kate’s whereabouts, asks Rajesh to touch her relatives' feet through the phone, and all-in-all creates a comical scene.

How will the Singh family deal with Katori Amma’s newfound obsession? Sharing her enthusiasm for her look Himani Shivpuri shares, “Katori Amma is always seen in a saree, it was extremely fun to dress up in a modern way. It made me feel like I was young again! Shooting for this episode was a joy, we danced and sang to old 1900’s songs like Julie Julie, Ankhiyon Se Goli Maare and so many more. Gadgets have become such an important part of our lives and, somewhere I feel Katori Amma deserved her fair share of fun too! The audience will enjoy this episode and relate to it as well.”
