After Star One's Yeh Dil Chahe More was abruptly pulled off air, model-turned-actor Kushal Punjabi went missing from the idiot box. He resurfaced as a contestant in Zee's reality game show Fun on Run. Now, the handsome hunk is grinning from ear to ear as he's been roped in to play lead role in a new show to be aired on Zee.
Kushal sounded upbeat about his new show, "I'm talking to the producers (Yash Patnaik). I should be signing the show soon. I'm excited to be a part of the show as it's not a run of the mill kind of a role. I cannot divulge too many details about it at this point of time. All I can say is that I'm in the process of finalizing dates for shooting."
He added further, "It's a weekly fictional thriller and I'm playing the lead. I still have to get a brief outline of my character. If everything goes well, then we'll start shooting for it next month and it'll go on the floor in December."
Kushal is awaiting the release of Goal where he's playing a cameo. He says, "I'm playing one of the football players. I want to continue doing both films and television."
