MUMBAI: This morning we woke up to the sad news that Madhya Pradesh Governor, Lalji Tandon, passed away. The Indian politician who was 85 took his last breath a free hours back. Those who are unaware,  famous TV actor Kushal Tandon is the late politico's grandson. However his uncle Ashutosh Tandon, announced his death on Twitter with a condolence message. As per media reports, the senior Politician was on ventilator support since June 11. He was admitted to Medanta Hospital, Lucknow after facing breathing problems, difficulty in urination and fever.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid his respect to Lalji Tandon by tweeting, "Shri Lalji Tandon will be remembered for his untiring efforts to serve society. He played a key role in strengthening the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. He made a mark as an effective administrator, always giving importance to public welfare. Anguished by his passing away."
