The search is finally over for the makers (Entertainment Hub) of Sahara One’s Piya Ka Ghar Pyaar Lage. Well…they have been grappling to zero in on the female lead since the face of the show Sanjeeda Sheikh aka Sejal quit the project in quest of greener pastures.
And now we have learnt that the hunt has finally ended with the makers knocking on the doors of deer-eyed Leena Jumani. Yes, she has been roped in as the female lead.
Leena is also seen in Zee TV’s Punar Vivah as Paridhi.
In Piya Ka Ghar, Leena will be seen as Piya Nanavati. She will hail from a well-to-do family and her father will be the dean of a college. Piya will also have a step mother and a step sister.
However, the most important link of the story will be when viewers will come to know that Piya is responsible for Sejal’s death.
Furthermore, actor Abhay Harpade of Papad Pol fame has also been signed on for the project. He will be seen as Piya’s father. Casting for Piya’s step mom and sister is still on.
We got in touch with Leena to get a confirmation on the development but she refrained from commenting. On the other hand, Abhay remained unavailable.
