MUMBAI: We love watching Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma in Abeer and Mishti’s roles respectively in Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke on Star Plus.

As far as the current storyline is concerned, Mishti has been approached to get married to Kunal. Although Mishti is seen as someone who would never go against the family and is pretty much traditional in many ways, she asks permission to know Kunal a little more before making him her life partner.

When the same is put forward to the family, Kunal’s mother absolutely refuses to give in to Mishti’s suggestion saying that her son is not a car that she can take a test drive of and that Mishti will have to go by her word if she wants to get settled with Kunal. Here, Abeer steps in and shows his decisiveness, stating that there is nothing wrong in meeting a person and trying to know someone better, especially when one is choosing a life partner. He also puts his foot down and says that today, the world has changed and that everyone in the family should change their regressive mindset.

The producer of the show, Rajan Shahi, who also happens to be the successful producer of the blockbuster Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has always believed in giving a social message through his shows. While Yeh Rishta focuses on social messages on family, love, and life lessons, our take away from Yeh Rishte Hai Pyaar Ke is that the show takes the viewers on a journey to understand that relationships need to be cohesive to work out well and last.

There is nothing wrong in meeting someone you might feel you can spend a lifetime with and try to know them better before arriving at a final decision. After all, it’s only one life that you have and everyone wants to make the best of it!

This message also helps us understand that untimely and impromptu decisions may lead the relationship to eventually go through situations that a couple may or may not be able to face together and may lead to a breakup.
