Loyal fans of Sony Entertainment Television’s CID (Fireworks Productions) have been weeping their hearts out as they have been missing their loved show for nearly a month now.

Yes, CID has not been airing its fresh episodes for a while now, and there has been pandemonium amongst the audience. Viewers of the series have been taking to social networking platforms, and also sending out mails to the channel and production house, demanding a clarification for the show’s halt.

A credible source tells us, “Sony actually wanted to boost the ratings of The Kapil Sharma Show by giving it more time. Hence they decided to extend the slot of the Kapil Sharma show, by giving it the CID one.”

If sources are to be believed, the channel wanted to pool in more episodes of Kapil Sharma show and Crime Patrol in the month of May to increase viewership. So they cut down the airing of repeat episodes of CID during day time and showed Crime Patrol in the same slots. But this move too did not result in good ratings, as the family viewing audience are used to watching CID rather than Crime Patrol in the day.

We also hear that the channel too was recently forced to come out with the clarification (of airing The Kapil Sharma Show) as there was an outpour of mails from the loyal fans of CID.

But now, there is a good news for all CID fans...

The source added on, “The channel has now sensed that CID is too popular a show to give it a break. Hence they have decided to air it again from 4 June.”

Yipee!!!

We also buzzed Producer B P Singh, but he remained unavailable.  

The channel's spokesperson on their part texted to our query, "CID will air 4th June onwards at 10.30 pm weekends (sic)."

Of course, a superb journey of more than 19 years is laudable beyond limits.  And the love for CID amongst the TV viewing audience is certainly humongous.
