Let us introduce you to the charming Manish Goel and the pretty Poonam Narula Goel, who can today be called as symbol of love, togetherness and the institution of marriage.

Manish and Poonam, met on the sets of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, where they played a couple. Sensing their compatibility, and a future together, Manish’s mother played cupid and got them married.

Today, 13 years later, Manish feels that things haven’t changed much between the two. It’s just that they have become closer.

“I was a fan of Poonam’s work and I still remember greeting her as Poonamji. Who knew that one day she would become Mrs Poonam Goel (laughs). I was really nervous when we had our first shot together. And much to my surprise, Poonam had complimented me, and called up Ekta to say that she had got a good actor opposite her. Today, after 13 years of marriage, I look back and realise how much closer we have become. We now understand each other really well. And beyond all of that, is our two kids who complete us,” said Manish.

When we quizzed him, on what makes a successful marriage, he shared, “I think independency. You need to give your partner complete freedom. Even if your wife is working or at home, she needs to have a life. Be it man, or woman, everyone deserves space in their life. Ours being an arranged marriage, we worked every day to strengthen our relationship with love and commitment.”
