Good news for Meenal Patel fans. The veteran actress, who was last seen as Keserba in Colors’ Mukti Bandhan, will now be seen in Hats off Productions’ show Alakshmi on Life OK.
Tellychakkar.com has been constantly reporting about the show and we broke the news of Helly Shah and Sujay Reu being signed to play the leads. Other names in the star cast include Supriya Pathak, Anang Desai, Falguni Desai, Neeraj Kshetarpal, Ujjwal Chopra (last seen in Gulaal), Priyamvada Sawant (of Shubh Kadam fame), Sunil Vishrani (last seen in Papad Pol) and theatre actors, namely Purvi Vyas and Disha Savla.
Now, Meenal will be seen playing the role of a grandmother.
“Yes, I am doing the show as J D Majethia and Aatish Kapadia (of Hats off) approached me for it. However, I do not know much about my character yet, but I am sure it will be good as I have known both JD and Aatish since they were kids and they wouldn’t ask me to do a role just for the sake of it,” confirmed Meenal to Tellychakkar.com.
Moreover, Meenal is currently busy working on a musical play called All is Well that Ends Well for which she will be performing in London. “The play has been made in 36 languages all across the world. From India, we have it in Hindi and Gujarati languages. I am a part of the Gujarati play”, shared the adorable actress.
Utkarsh Majumdar (last seen in Mukti Bandhan) and Manasi Parkeh (of Gulaal fame) are also a part of the play.
Meenal will start shooting for Alakshmi in a day or two.
