The project is produced by Ekta Kapoor and will star Tinaa Datta and Mohit Malhotra in lead roles (as reported by us). We also mentioned that Priya Bathija will play the character of a daayan and that actresses Anupriya Kapoor and Pavitra Punia have been roped in to play pivotal roles.
Now, we have learned that Meri Durga actors Urfi Javed and Vicky Ahuja have joined the cast of Daayan.
According to our sources, Urfi and Pavitra will play sisters. Urfi’s character will have a crush on lead actor Mohit in the show. Meanwhile, Vicky will play a pandit who will guide Tinaa’s character to hunt the daayan.
Daayan will launch on 15 December. It is a finite series and will air biweekly.
We contacted Urfi and Vicky, but they both remained unavailable for comment.
