MUMBAI: Telly actor Gashmeer Mahajani is a renowned television actor, who is currently gaining immense household fame through Star Plus' one of the most-watched and appreciated popular shows, Imlie, for portraying the show's male lead - Aditya Tripathi, opposite female lead - Soumbul Touqeer's Imlie. 

Despite this all, Gashmeer has been involved in different other spheres of the showbiz world and has embarked upon his journey into mainstream Indian entertainment after featuring in regional (mainly of Marathi language) projects first.

1. Not many know that apart from being a television actor, Gashmeer is also an Indian film actor, choreographer and a theatre-director as well. He has featured in many Marathi cinemas like Carry On Maratha, Dongari Ka Raja and others.

2. Born on 8th June 1985, Gashmeer hails from Pune (Maharashtra, India). 

3. For the unversed, actor Gashmeer is the son of renowned and veteran Marathi superstar - Ravindra Mahajani.

4. Consequently, Gashmeer embarked upon his showbiz career with his silver-screen debut for a Bollywood movie named Muskurake Dekh Zara (2010). However, this movie was commercially unsuccessful, owing to which he took a break from the glamour world.

5. Thenafter, for the next four years, Gashmerr had joined Mumbai's 'Prithvi Theatre', wherein he enacted various roles and even directed a few stage-plays.

6. In 2014, he got married to his wife Gauri (Deshmukh) Mahajan and the duo is blessed with their son Vyom, who was born on 21st December 2019.

6. In 2015, Gashmeer bagged his first-ever breakthrough opportunity by debuting in the regional (Marathi) film industry with his popular Marathi-debut movie Carry On Maratha. He portrayed the lead role of Martand herein, opposite actress Kashmira Kulkarni as the female lead. In that same year, he also starred in another Marathi movie named Deool Band, wherein Gashmeer portrayed the role of Raghav Shastri.

7. In the next two years, Mahajani featured in three other Marathi movies like Kanha, Dongari Ka Raja and Mala Kahich Problem Nahi. However, in 2016, he starred in another Bollywood movie after 6 years hiatus named One Way Ticket, wherein he played the role of Aditya Rane.

8. In 2018, he took a break from movies (in Bollywood) and focussed on his regional career by making his first appearance on the small-screen for the Marathi TV show Prema Tujha Rang Kasa (seasons 1 & 2). In 2018 itself, Gashmeer also entered the Hindi entertainment industry and made his first-ever debut in the OTT platform thriller Anjaan: Special Crimes Unit. 

9. In 2019, Gashmeer starred in the multi-starrer Bollywood historical film Panipat - featuring Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Gashmeer's on-screen character of Jankoji Shinde in this movie garnered the audience's appraisal.

10. Next year, the actor bagged the lead role of Star Plus' one of the most beloved TV shows - Imlie, opposite telly actress Sumbul Touqeer, who plays the female lead in it. This show helped Gashmeer being reckoned by the mainstream Indian audience as an emerging showbiz star.
