MUMBAI: Digital is the new trend and actors are using this platform to showcase their talent by experimenting with different roles. A lot of new concepts are available on digital platforms and not to forget that the actors have worked day and night to give their best shot in their respective shows. Directors too are leaving no stone unturned to try new concepts.

Viu India has recently entered the web space with a bunch of great shows. Viu originals has launched a new web series that revolves around six friends and their darkest sides.

Kaushiki is a young girl from Ahmadabad who ends up meeting Mritunjay Sharma who further introduces her with his close friends. Each one of them has dark secrets hidden from everyone. The main twist in the life of Kaushiki comes when she goes missing and then enters the cop, played by Rannvijay Singh, who unfolds the mystery and the darkest secrets of these six friends.

Both the plot and cast seems promising. Sayani Gupta plays Kaushiki, Rajeev Siddhartha would be seen playing Mritunjay Sharma and Namit Das, Omkar Kapoor, Shruti Shrivastava play the role of friends who are hiding their own secrets.

What do you think about Rannvijay Singh?

In a rendezvous with TellyChakkar, Rannvijay who is playing the role of the cop, talks about his experience of shooting the web series, his daughter and wife.

“It’s not easy for me to leave Kainaat Singh (daughter) and Priyanka Vohra (wife) alone back home and come here for such hectic schedule but then I love my work equally. Even though I love what I do, I still miss my time with my little world, my daughter,” said Rannvijay, adding, “Each one of us has a dark side and shooting for the show actually got me thinking, ‘do I know all the sides of my friends’.”

“I am very competitive and it’s like give and take for me as I feel I also have a dark side but the person to talk about my dark side is my wife Priyanka Vohra,” said the Punjabi munda.

“She doesn’t need to be insecure about my profession or my female fan following as she is a bigger star in her head,” he further said about his wife.

The time is changing and almost quite a good bunch of TV celebs are turning towards digital medium and Rannvijay Singh is no different. The actor is quite active on social media as well and has recently launched his own brand “DISRUPT” that will be launching soon.

“I have always loved playing the role of an army officer, be it in Pukkar or a cop in Kaushiki,”

Talking about the cast of the web series, Rannvijay shared, “The bond that we all shared on sets is quite a beautiful feeling as we always used to wait for one another even if our shot was done.”

We have seen the first few episodes of Kaushiki and feel the web series is quite gripping and suspense filled.
